Hi all, I have this processor here, and I know for sure it's an Intel processor but I have no idea how to find out which model it is, and so far all searches I have done yielded no results. I've tried searching the different numbers in a search engine and finding a processor list, but to no avail. Here is AMD Warranty for CPU in a Box: AMD Processor in a box (PIB) 3 Year Limited Warranty AMD You have Three (3) Years from the time you purchased the CPU to return it under Warranty. Looks like the AMD Database for CPU Serial Number was discontinued or changed to another AMD Website. bAMD Processor Ordering Part Number (OPN) Breakdown/b Processors are identified by markings known as Ordering Part Number (OPN). The OPN identifies the processor and its specifications.

Here is an image I took of the processor. I had to write the numbers as my camera is not HD and couldn't see them properly.
If someone could identify this processor, or point me in the right direction, I'd be eternally grateful.
I should also add that I am unable to use software to identify the processor, only the numbers printed on it.
Thanks.

I've had a Ryzen 1700 for a while and enjoyed it quite a bit, it's been running as my Linux home server. Unfortunately it had suffered from the well-known manufacturing defect resulting in segfaults when compiling software. AMD has replaced the defective chip with a working one for me, but the RMA process was a pain and it's not something I want to go through again.

I am building a new computer to replace my Macbook Pro and it's going to be another engineering Linux box.
Amd Processor Serial Number
To avoid getting another dud, I'm trying to purchase a CPU with a serial number with certain 'good' traits.

A Ryzen SN looks like are 'model' ('17' means 1700) manufacturing year, followed by the week '14', followed by 3 letters. If you look at the AMD community forums, it appears that not a single person with a CPU manufactured in Malaysia with a serial number ending with 'PGT' can successfully run the kill_ryzen script. This, for example, is most likely a defective chip.
UA 1714PGT

Defect-free Ryzens are usually manufactured in China, their SN end with 'SUS' and their manufacturing week is in the 25-30 range. Wago io check 3 download. Here's an example of a good one.
So I'm trying to locate a reseller who's selling recent (week 25+) 'SUS' Ryzens. If you have purchased your CPU recently, where did you buy it from and what's your serial number? Thanks!
[EDIT] Found this google doc created by someone else who tried to track down good serial numbers. Looking it at, nobody should be buying any Ryzen CPU older than UA1730SUS.
